Who Can Join OLLI?
Mature learners who know that life is best enjoyed through learning! Individuals age 50 and better are invited to become members of OLLI. Whether you are working, retired, or semi-retired, you can be a part of OLLI. You do not need college experience to get involved—just a desire to learn and contribute to the OLLI community. With OLLI, your life experience is what counts in the classroom!
How Does OLLI Work?
OLLI is a non-profit, member-based organization of lifelong learners, which depends on active participation of its members to succeed. Participation cannot be overstated. Our membership is growing and participants are actively providing suggestions that advise the OLLI staff in determining which courses to offer. Your continued input about your course interests gives you ownership in deciding which learning activities are offered.
Why Should I Join OLLI?
By becoming an OLLI member, you will:
- Become a part of an organization designed specifically to meet your lifelong educational interests and needs.
- Make connections with other OLLI members during classes and other activities.
- Experience lively discussions by sharing with others what you have learned.
- Enjoy special learning opportunities available in a university atmosphere.
- Keep active, stay mentally fit, and enrich your life!
As an OLLI member, you will receive:
- First access to OLLI courses
- Course newsletters (3 times per year)
- E-mails announcing OLLI and local campus events
- Access to campus facilities and events
OLLI Membership Fees
The goal of OLLI@UND is to provide lifelong learning opportunities for mature learners while being a self-sustaining organization, advised by OLLI members, and supported through annual membership and course fees.
We currently have three fee structures:
- Annual membership — $35
- Three-year membership — $60 (popular cost saving option!)
- “Early Bird” Annual Renewal — $25 (Grand Forks only) *
*Applies to current Grand Forks members who renew their one-year membership prior to their end date. A reminder letter will be sent to members well in advance of their membership end date.
Your OLLI membership includes access to all OLLI courses, semester newsletters, e-newsletters, and access to campus facilities and activities. As a member, you will receive the course newsletter before the general public, thereby giving you first choice of the courses offered.
You can join OLLI at anytime; however, this affordable membership fee, which supports our program, is non-refundable and non-transferable.
